just too darn cute

mom's too loud

In this video, I try to make him laugh and talk, not point the camera in his face, be quiet sometimes and make a good video.  I do not succeed at any of those things.

how do I comment?

Do you want to comment, but don't now how?  Today's blogpost is for you!

At the bottom of each post is a "hyperlink" that says "comments"
Most of the time it says "no comments" sometimes it will say "2 comments," etc.

Click on that and then a box appears for you to comment.  You will have to log in using one of the options they give you - the easiest is the google account.  You probably have a google account.  Even if you don't have gmail (which you should, everyone should to have gmail, no other email providers can even compare to gmails awesomeness), you probably logged in to something, somewhere along the line with a google sign in. (google maps, youtube, google translate, calendar, docs, reader....???)

If you really don't have a google username, you probably don't have any of those other things either.  If that is the case, we are honored that you navigate the interwebs to visit this blog :) Don't worry about commenting, as long as you cherish these things in your heart, that is all that matters.

family share site

It has come to my attention that this picture of Attison has become a favorite of many.

So let me take this time to make things a little more complicated and introduce our "family share site" from Shutterfly.

I have uploaded the above picture (as well as other pictures) to the share site.  From there you can view albums of pictures, or order prints.  I haven't uploaded all of the pictures from the blog and probably never will [have time].  If there are any pictures you'd like a print of, please leave a comment on those posts and I'll be sure to add them to the share site so you can order prints.  (you can go back to previous posts and still leave comments, we will see them)

NOTE!  The password is: morepictures

I'm kind of struggling between 1. providing lots of pictures and videos of Attison for those who love him to view and 2. making it really easy for some freakshow stalker to stumble upon all of these things and get crazy about it.  I mean, let's be honest, this kid is really friggin' adorable, how can you not just fall head over heels? Sooooo...the blog, my youtube videos and the share site are all semi-private - you can't search for them and can only view when you have the site address and sometimes a password.  I've also stopped posting the blog URL on facebook, because there are 859 people that can see that, probably 787 of them I don't even like (and 624 of them I probably should just delete).

So to add more complications to this mess of social media...
If you have photos that you would like to share with others of the Paylor/Raufer families, you can be added as an administrator and be able to upload pictures for others to see/download/print.

And now I've spent too much time saying too many things and most of you are probably just staring at that picture saying "oh my goodness.  Oh.  Attison.  So cute.  Darling...wish I could just give him a squeeze.  What a cutiepie."

did i post these yet?

I don't remember if I posted these or not.  We have pictures of him in this outfit and pictures of this thing-a-ma-bob, but do we have pictures of this outfit on the thing-a-ma-bob.

Pudding camera

I downloaded a new camera on my phone called pudding camera.  Why it is named after a delicious snack I couldn't tell you, but it takes awesome pictures....for a phone camera.  It has lots of special features too, so let me demonstrate some of them for you. Some aren't special per say, but they are a great quality...for a phone camera.

Spoiler alert! We made some gift for grandmas, not yet given but pictured here.
Also, the fish eye is weird.

Jenny killed a dinosaur

In other news... We bought a 1/4 of a cow.  A few of our friends got together and bought a cow and had it butchered.  Did you know you need almost an entire deep freezer to hold 1/4 cow?  I didn't.  I definitely underestimated how much space we would need.  It all fits though, and I won't be buying beef from the store for at least a year.   (Our 1/4 cow contained at least 25 lbs. of ground beef plus tons of steaks and other cuts.)

While at the butcher, Tim found this labeled "dog bones" and bought one for Jenny for $4.  She is estatic beyond belief.  One night Katy said "I think Jenny is loosing her mind" and explained that she was bowing to the bone and scraping her nose on the ground. She also demonstrated, which was hilarious. Since I've watched Jenny bury many-a treat in my garden I was able to quickly debunk this mysterious behavior. She has rubbed her nose raw trying to "bury" it in the carpet.

She also drags her bone around the living room and from the kitchen it kind of sounds like a dinosaur is trying to tiptoe around my house.  And I don't know if you've heard a dinosaur tiptoe before but it sounds like this..."thumpthump....grrrr....thump...lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, scratch, thump." With more licking and then some carpet rubbing.  Then Jenny drinks a liter of water, nudges me and goes to sit by the back door.  (Did I mention the bone was smoked?"). Once outside she goes around the yard and barks, as if to say "I killed a friggin dinosaur bitches!" (She can say that, most of our dog neighbors are girls.)

Bath time and a warm blanket

After a long, fun bath, we realized the blanket had fallen on top of the heating register.  Score!  I played with some features of my pudding camera and also with the bath toys.  Attison ate the fish towel and watched me play.  Tim came down and watched for a minute, then later told Matt and Christine that "Steph had a great time in the bath this afternoon." Perhaps I lost focus...

Camo!

Attison's camo.  Every time he wears this, the first thing people say when they come home is "Where is Attison?"

He looks like he is ready to be on the move!

3 months!

 What?  I'm 3 months old?
Yes, look at how big I am!
And I'm cute even when I'm drooling.

baby legs 2!

When you wear baby legs, you can play in your thingamabob.
You can sit up and giggle
You can get your diaper changed by daddy. (who does not think that diaper changing time is a good time for pictures)

Apparently, neither does the naked one.

Office space

Attison has a new place to play while I work during the day.  He looks kind of like an animal in a cage, so Jenny comes to watch him.

Breaking free

This is how I found Attison this morning in his bed around 7:45. He had been babbling for at least 20 minutes, just talking up a storm to himself while we laid and bed and listened.  He seemed perfectly content, and only had woken up once, at 4:30.

When he was un-swaddled he did his stretches!

come see me!

Attison gets people to travel across the country to visit him.  Like his friend Miranda from Texas.

Less than 2 hours after Tim sent Attison's picture message, Miranda booked a flight to Pittsburgh. Whatchu think about that?

Attison, featured on blogs everywhere

Attison was featured on two different blogs last week.

First, with his cousin Finley:
http://finley-updates.blogspot.com/2013/01/remember-christmas.html

This one has a picture of Attison and Finley being held by Aunt Carolyn and Great Aunt Robyn.  Plus a picture of Attison's mom holding Finley (that's me, Attison's mom, hehehe....)

Then there is a blog post by Katy, our roommate:
http://3focals.blogspot.com/2013/02/3-months.html

This is Attison playing with Sophie the Giraffe.  When he got tired of that we played Do What Attison Does, which requires a lot of ab work and upper back strength.  (Also, I got another shout out as Attison's mom)

Philadelphia Day!

On this day, my first two outfits were Philadelphia themed.
Thanks Aunt Gina and Uncle Tommy for the Phillies t-shirt!

Gorgeous

8 times!

Attison rolled over 8 times.  In a row!  It was like he had decided that Friday night that he was no longer going to be laying on his belly.  It hasn't happened since.
