Ninja Turtle Hospital Volunteer
We've begun recruiting help and Zach was the first victim volunteer. When his dad dropped him off he said "Zach tends to get distracted, so you have to keep him on task." As it turns out, I also get distracted, and while cleaning out the coat closet I suggested that Zach try on these great clothing items to model them for us. He is a Ninja Turtle UMPC volunteer.
Attison is not impressed.

Canning tomatoes
One Saturday I was canning a ton of tomatoes and Attison was napping for most of the time. Once he woke up, I brought him down to play in the kitchen while I finished up.
I knew I couldn't can them all, so I had a box on the floor of clean tomatoes that I thought would last for a few days so I could either do something else with them, or give them to a friend. Attison found said box and decided to have himself a snack when I wasn't looking.
Sleepy boy gets caught with his tomato.
"I was going to eat it ma"
"You don't want me to?"
"That was delicious!!"

Throwing the ball
This would be the opportune time to have these pictures aggregate together, but they didn't. Watch as Attison laughs at Jenny, throws the ball and chases it.

Laundry Room 2
We built a wall and hung drywall on half of it.
The outside, facing the bedroom.
The inside facing the hallway (where we have yet to create a door, there currently are hot wires in that wall).
Jenny is back in her favorite spot.

The stairwell
First we had this (some has already been dismantled):
2nd floor going up
2nd floor going down
Notice the halogen lights on the steps. It really gave that great prom entrance look. We never used them, except for once when we first moved in. No one was living on the 3rd floor at the time, so we just had packed boxes and duffle bags in the little nook going upstairs. The lights were on and one of the bags of sheets and blankets was open. After 15-20 minutes, the light actually burnt a hole in one of our sheet sets. That was the last we used the lights.

The 2"x4" are currently an impalement hazard, but go all the way behind the drywall to the floor. Since the bottom set of stairs are coming out anyway, we left them in hoping they will help to destroy the stairs later.
I also found this relic of "what used to be" in the middle of the 3rd floor staircase. Covered in lead paint of course, there is proof that this house existed before the horrible 1990's renovation in which someone decided that the ugly plywood halogen banister was a good idea.
Beheaded in the prime of it's life, at around 90 years old, a mere 20 years before it would again be appreciated in all of its splendor.
Look at that fine wood grain in there. See the drywall screw in the left side? The post was like "oh, you think you can screw that drywall screw into this? Yeah, I bent it, now what?"
Here you can see where the handrail connected to the newel post and the wall.
Look what it could have been here.
(*Additon: Tim proofread this post, looked at the ebay link and said "$180? I can make that. That is just a 6"x6" with a bunch of applied scotia with some stopped flutes routed in it. I got a router. I got scotia. What?")
Craigslist scores
I bought a bunch of stuff from this guy on Craigslist. There was one, special toy that I was searching for and finally found it. Attison will get the "special toy" for his birthday, but on this day, he got tons of new toys. It was a celebration of the day I didn't get abducted by a Craigslist stranger.
