Peekdaboo

Attison is really eager to engage baby D in his new favorite game, Peekaboo. Or as Attison calls it, Peekdaboo.
"Baby D where's Attison? Hey baby D where's Attison.... PEEKDABOO!"

Multi-tasking

At night we read books and say prayers*. Sometimes sequentially,  sometimes simultaneously.

*The prayers we say are mostly thanksgivings and remembrances... Not the rosary.  Although it seems the rosary is on his mind.

I cant stop staring

...at this picture.
I love to be loved by this amazing little man.

Flying D

Peaches and chex for breakfast for a little man who uses his arms to eat and fly.

Attison continues to talk
S: Attison. You need a new diaper.
A: uuuuuhhhhhh...no.
S: How about, yes!
A: Hooooooooow bout.....no.

Leaves

Running and screaming

Tim and I are quickly trying to submit our radon re-certification this morning. Working and shouting across the house to send each other documents and certification numbers and dates of completed continuing education. I am holding D. Attison is literally pushing his firetruck in circles around the downstairs, running and screaming. Just incoherent screaming babble.

In the picture below he was running in circles with a Mr. Potato Head arm in his mouth. He eventually sat down for a picture, but wouldn't stop chewing on the arm.

This kid is a firecracker. He has energy for days.

D's walk in the park

D enjoyed the walk too. He played in the leaves a little and then took a snoozer.

A's walk in the park

Tow mater in tow, we walk though Mellon Park, the old private gardens adjacent to one of the Mellon's mansions that has since been demolished. This is one of my favorite parks to walk through. I considered getting married here but was afraid of an outdoor wedding.
A of course found the fountain and climbed it.

And now, crazy hair.

Mixing mommy's granola with yogurt is da BEST. It makes my hair stand on end.  Endorsed by Tow-Mader.

At the farm

We took about a gagillion pictures when we went to Simmons Farm over the weekend,  but here's just a few teasers.  Note how Attison's lack of fall colors makes him easy to detect among the pumpkins.
Also note how Attison and Da are together in the infant hay maze,  but only one of them is vertical.

Cheerios... YES

He is so excited about eating his own cheerios these days.

No Way Mama

"Attison I need you to sit down on your bum. You are not being safe and I need you to be safe, ok?"
"No way mama."

"Did you poop? It smells like poop."
"No way mama."

Baby D grabs A's plate while they sit at the table.
"No way Baby D Dennis."

"Attison what do you want on your toast? Peanut butter or butter and jelly?"
"Sausage."

Attison plays at the window and leaves his plate with his toast on the couch. Jenny comes over to sniff it. Attison runs towards it.
"No way! No way! No way! No way Jenny!"

"RUN AWAY RUN AWAY RUN RUN RUN!!"
"Attison we need to be quiet inside and use our inside voices."
"NO WAY NO WAY INSIDE OUTSIDE INSIDE OUTSIDE!"

Wild animals

Brothers friends with brothers.

We attended our church's retreat this weekend. Most of the families with kids as young as ours didn't attend, but our good friends the Cagwins did! Here are some photos of our boys playing with their boys. These dudes are going to be a rowdy bunch some day!

Attison and Elliott

Dennis and Boden

Apparently my phone has hit some threshold of being almost 2 years old and therefore unable to function, with the intention of inspiring me to purchase a new, ridiculously expensive technological marvel that is also designed to self-destruct in 1.5 years. I can't take a non-blurry photo with my phone.
I'M ON TO YOU VERIZON!

Big Boy Bed

Playing in his room, I told A he could only have his binks if he was going to bed. So he half laid in his bed so he could get a hit off his binks.
(Note: We usually let him have sheets and blankets on his bed - laundry day)

D plays with a hammer.  Later they would fight over this hammer, apparently because it is a lot more fun than the other orange plastic hammer that neither of them wanted. And so it begins...
