Brothers friends with brothers.

We attended our church's retreat this weekend. Most of the families with kids as young as ours didn't attend, but our good friends the Cagwins did! Here are some photos of our boys playing with their boys. These dudes are going to be a rowdy bunch some day!

Attison and Elliott

Dennis and Boden

Apparently my phone has hit some threshold of being almost 2 years old and therefore unable to function, with the intention of inspiring me to purchase a new, ridiculously expensive technological marvel that is also designed to self-destruct in 1.5 years. I can't take a non-blurry photo with my phone.
I'M ON TO YOU VERIZON!

Big Boy Bed

Playing in his room, I told A he could only have his binks if he was going to bed. So he half laid in his bed so he could get a hit off his binks.
(Note: We usually let him have sheets and blankets on his bed - laundry day)

D plays with a hammer.  Later they would fight over this hammer, apparently because it is a lot more fun than the other orange plastic hammer that neither of them wanted. And so it begins...

Toddler BED!

A started climbing into his crib. He couldn't climb out, but every time I looked away, he climbed in, which I felt was just as dangerous, so we took off the front rail and upgraded him into the toddler bed.

Here he is during nap time. He apparently fell asleep reading a book called "Snoozers." Appropriate.

King of the mountain

Just a dude climbing rocks.

Tough

They say I can't crawl. I don't know what that means but I go wherever I please. Just today I covered every inch of mama's bedroom floor. Even gave myself a black eye falling over.

Mama had to do something very important (or so it seemed) so I was hanging out with Da. Then he had to use the potty, which I assume is also very important, so I was stuck in this. Not to worry, I can get out if I want to. I just don't want to yet. This thing in front of me is moving and making noise.

The case of the missing binks

Thursday, October 2, 2014
1:46 am
Attison's Room

It was night as any other, I was blissfully asleep in my crib. Suddenly, I woke up and realized the binks was missing.

I looked everywhere. My mouth, no. My hand, no. On the mattress next to my head, no. Where could it have gone? The binks must be found. This is a job for....mama.

"Mama mama!" I cried. Nothing.
Scared, I began to murmur "mama, mama, mamamamamamamamamamama..."
"What is it buddy?"  She had appeared!
"Binks!" I shouted at her. It is missing and I need it to survive! Find it, quick, before the sun rises!

She began her search. She used her magic powers of being outside of the crib and her ability to make light. We found it! Under the pillow....phew! So close, yet so far away. Mama handed me the binks.

"Here you go buddy. Are you cold?" She asked.
No I'm not cold, I'm Attison. You call me that 1000 times a day. Maybe I'm Buddy, but I'm definitely not Cold. No one ever calls me Cold. But the binks was already in my mouth so I said "Mmrph."

"Let me wrap you up." She said.
I had already started to drift off, now that the binks was safely in my possession. I fell asleep while she held me, wrapped in my bubba, rocking in Da's chair.
Binks, bubba, go to bed I thought.
Binks,
bubba,
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The end.

Friends Chickens

We now have lots of friends who have chickens. These chickens were getting pretty brave, going so close to an infant who has very little control over his limbs.
