Scary Movie

This video might be the start of a scary movie featuring a giant disappearing baby.

Really, it is just a video of the video monitor the night that Attison not only learned how to stand in his crib, but found the monitor to play with.  But it is a little bit scary, right?

Still on to do list: take pictures.

I keep forgetting to take pictures of this kid.  Sorry for lagging behind.

Here is a video instead

Watching tv

Attison is too busy to watch tv.  So busy that if the adults are watching tv and not him, he'll eat the remote.

The ultimate culinary compliment

First fact: We bought a high chair.  I figured it was probably time to take the kid off the counter, before he stands up in that silly little seat and walks off the edge.  Plus now he can help feed Jenny.

Second fact:  I make Attison's baby food.  He has had a few of those squeeze pouches from the store, but mostly on vacation and at other times when I was simply too lazy, tired, late, or exhausted to figure out what to pack for him to eat after we left the house.

In this picture he is eating cheerios.  I didn't not make them. just dumped them in the bowl.

I don't, however, make regular baby stuff. I make everything.  Like quinoa and banana puree in a re-usable squeeze thing, or grits and toast for breakfast, or cauliflower and asparagus for dinner.  Last night for dinner, I made chicken with kale pesto sauce; zucchini & onion sauteed with canned tomatoes; and brown rice with chicken broth. (I didn't eat the kale though.  I usually love kale, but something about cooking it last night reminded me of the "situation" when I was pregnant with Attison and swore off kale for a bit.  Tim ate it though and liked it!) There weren't really enough leftovers to save, so I pureed the veggies and sent it and the rice with Attison for lunch today. Meanwhile, Tim and I went out for our (becoming weekly) lunch date.

Then this conversation happened on facebook:

Bath towel

Now that Attison can crawl and stand he wants to play ALL THE TIME.  Sleep?  We ain't need no sleep.  Sleep just gets in the way of me crawling around.

So typically, we take a bath (when we do) right before bed.  Then we play with quiet toys (like stuffed animals) while getting lotion-ed up before bed.  But no he wants to climb out of the tub and continue exploring and playing until he passes out.
