Playing for serious

Today A and D played in A's room while I worked for a bit.

Then we played with our friend R while her parents went to a memorial service. R and A jumped on the couch for a bit and then both laid down to rest. R kicked A a few times and he said "stop." We've been learning what stop means because A likes to kick while getting his diaper changed. I was glad R was kicking because now A knows why kicking is not fun. Also, I know he fully understands what I mean when I say stop kicking so he won't get off so easily next time...

We were really happy to play with friends. Last night we went to dinner at a friend's house and the whole way there A said "friends house friends house" except when he saw a orange bus and said "school bus!" We didn't try to explain that it was actually an orange city bus not a yellow school bus.
