four!

Attison's fourth day!

Today started out much like the rest...early.   Very early.  I suppose he was anxiously anticipating the arrival of some more important people he had to meet - Papa John and Kara and Dan.

First, we said good-bye to Aunt Carolyn.

Papa John probably wins the award for the most clothes purchased for Attison so far.  100% of those clothes have been Steelers gear.  We tried to have Attison wear his Steelers Jersey for when John arrived, but since he is still a bit small for it we opted to get our photo taken just wearing their Steelers hats.  Have no fear - this child will be wearing black and gold, even if it means his parents have to google some Steelers trivia so they can converse with the rest of the diehards in this fair city.

Kara and Dan came over right after work and brought us a wonderful supper.  Chicken soup with DUMPLINGS!  We love dumplings.  Turns out, John does too and was pretty psyched to watch Dan prepare them while Kara held the baby and talked to me.

Attison dozed the whole time they were here, waking up long enough to shout for some food and fall back asleep - so Kara and Dan will have to come back soon to see these beautiful blue eyes. Before they left, Kara and Dan gave us another very important gift - a book about DINOSAURS!  (Roooooaarr!!)
B.T.W. This book is amazing...like you might expect from Mo Willems and/or Dinosaurs.

Before bed, we skyped with everyone at Great Grandma Raufer's house.  Since it was the official celebration of Halloween in New Jersey (due to Hurricane Sandy).  Aunt Robyn's family was there so we got to see Aunt Robyn, Will, and Bryan for the first time. (Will and Bryan were being very silly and making faces at us!)  Allison, Aunt June and Aunt Kathy were also there, plus Uncle Mark Raufer too!  Uncle Mark bestowed on Attison his first of many "Hey baby! How's my baby?" which makes us all smile (and repeat it to ourselves for a day or two afterwards, cause' it is so dang catchy).

And lest we forget - a quick shout out to Granny and Pop pop Raufer and Grandma Linda for sticking around and helping out again today!
