Zoo class

Attison and I went to a zoo class. It was really great and we signed up for a bunch more this spring!

The class was for 2 year olds and it had to be 1 on 1 with a parent, no other siblings were allowed to come.  So we had some fun just the two of us.

They read the book The Mitten, colored, did a mitten craft, but best of all, got to meet some of the animals from the book! We pet a hare, a little fox, and a [hedgehog].
If you try to ask Attison what real live animals he pet at the zoo during the story time, he will say "A big big bear" which refers to the fake-bear skin that was glued to the wall that you can see in the first picture.

Perhaps he has no memory of meeting this giant hare because he was picking his nose. Or perhaps because the hare was thumping himself so loudly in his little cage that we kind of expected something as strong as a gorilla to make noises that loud so a little/big hare was only...meh.

I have no recollection of taking this picture. I was probably listening in to the suburban mom's conversation and pretending to watch my kid. I don't necessarily hate all suburban mom's, but man did that lady have some dumb things to talk about.

An owl and a picture of an owl. See, everything is a learning experience.
If you aren't asleep or eavesdropping.

Here he is petting the [hedgehog].

Here Mrs. Zebra belt is telling us that this is a [hedgehog]
Except that she didn't say hedgehog she said whatever this really is. I think she said Turmeric. But that is an Indian spice, so maybe its name is Turmeric.
