Mittens

I have had a terrible time finding mittens for babies. They are either cotton, or have fingers, or waaaay too big. There is one kind I've found (actually my sister found them) that are awesome, but you can't buy them without a hat, and we have plenty of hats.

Earlier this week, we went for a stroller walk and came home with 3 gloves on the 4 little hands. Crap. (better than the other way around, I suppose)

A few weeks ago, the day Aunt Sarah passed her nursing boards (yeaaaaaaaa!) she found herself at a review class she no longer needed to attend. So she bought some yarn and a hook and taught herself to crochet. (And the internet helped I think, but it didn't occur to me to ask. I was too busy discussing my experience mastering crocheting without slip knots, a travesty my sister could not understand.)

Because we were put on the earth to one-up each other, or so it seems, the perfect opportunity presented itself. Make some mittens Steph. Duh.

Here they are: pink, children's, mittens, with long wrists so they are harder to fall off accidentally. Success!

I even found some free (unwanted) yarn to make some for D.
